2012: begins his job as head of TGA 

April 2023: Resigns from the TGA

Dec 4 2023: Commences new job as a director of Medicines Australia 

April 2024: A study funded by Moderna ( by John Skerritt  Brett Sutton et al) is published about the importance of getting the mRNA platform approved by the regulatory authorities .

Within eight months of retiring from his position as the head of the TGA, he was on the Board of Directors of Medicines Australia, the peak lobbying body for drugs. Other board members include the managing directors of Beigene, Pfizer, Merck and general managers of Bristol, Myers Squibb Abbvie, Takeda etc, who all hold very senior positions in pharmaceutical companies.
